Pre-Optioneering Studies

Our experiences have confirmed the value of what we term pre-optioneering studies; the gathering and analyses of relevant and sufficient process operational data prior to the selection and design of process engineering improvements at wastewater treatment sites. Using our aforementioned APES toolbox, we aim to achieve capex efficiency in the design of improvements through:

• Greater understanding and benchmarking of the performance of the existing process assets thereby
• Optimising its potential processing capacity and hence
• Minimising the capacity of retrofits

Conceptual Design Studies

• Our methodology allows us to present alternative process options with reliable budget costings
• For both wastewater and sludge solutions we seek a holistic approach with whole life cost benefits
• Clients will benefit from this approach where gaining an early understanding of process solutions at modest costs will facilitate their investment planning procedure prior to project execution
• We have particular experience with the design of aerobic and anaerobic sludge / biosolids digestion systems
